Grand Opening was a success
Starting in July, we planned to have our Grand Opening on December 7th, to be on the same day as the “Bubbly” in hopes of bringing in lots of traffic. Even though the gallery wasn’t quite finished, we had a very successful Grand Opening attendance, and considering it was raining cats and dogs, we maxed out space in the gallery; people were out the front and back doors.
The evening was well-received by all who attended. Over two dozen artists were able to show their work, which was enthusiastically viewed by those in attendance. The evening included the artists receiving a Certificate and Ribbon Award of Excellence. There was a large buffet spread from La Villa Deli, wine tasting by Wargin Wines from Watsonville, music from a local harpist Pamela Scholz, raffle drawings, and the opportunity for all in attendance to have a great socializing experience. The raffle drawing for the Grand Prize a paid three-day vacation in South Lake Tahoe won by Patricia Dennis.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the Grand Opening. We had attendees from Florida, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, and throughout California that shared this once in a lifetime, memorable event during the worse weather conditions.
Artists Ed Penniman and Claudia Gray made a great presentation of their work, very informative and educational. Priscilla Ho did a beautiful painting demonstration. Also, other artists that were included in the gallery artwork display are;
G. Dan Mitchell
Patricia Emerson Mitchell
Those that have visited the gallery have provided us with very positive feedback that they love the design of the gallery, the diversity of artwork, window displays, and some stated it was nice that they were able to find Reflections Elegante Fine Art Gallery via Google Maps.
Now that 95% of the construction is complete, we have the opportunity to look forward to exciting upcoming events at the gallery.
On Thursday, February 13th, from 5 to 8 pm, the gallery hosted the Valentine’s Ladies Night Out event sponsored by the Willow Glen Business Association. Over 50 women and some significant others visited the gallery to enjoy wine tasting and sample chocolates all designed perfectly and beautifully by Denise Wargin, owner of Wargin Wines.
