Edward “Ed” George Penniman

Edward “Ed” George Penniman (American, b. 1942) was born in the artistic community of Santa Cruz, California.

Penniman is a celebrated oil painter, whose luminous works focus on the Central Coastal California landscape. Influenced by the rich and varied history of California painters, he was mentored as a youth by his grandmother; Lenora N.

Penniman one of the “Santa Cruz Three” famed women Northern California landscape painters of the 1920-30s.

Penniman has a BFA degree from Chouinard Art School of California Institute of the Arts. He became a successful Art Director and Graphic Artist in the corporate world of advertising, branding, packaging and corporate identity.

He currently lives and works in Capitola, California
